Barely an hour ago I watched a 4 decades spanning DVD which my father (Schnitz) had sent me. It is wonderful and a great presentation of this family side. One of these days I will create shortened, web viable versions and upload them to this site.

The first movie is especially fascinating because it was filmed on Easter Sunday, thus almost to the day 40 years ago and it’s a master piece of introducing the majestic grandfather (Opa) and his 4 kids with their families, even cousin Margaret is seen on it, she who took care of my grandfather for so many years. Yeah, I am 10 in the first movie on it and even our hyper neurotic dog – a Yorkshire Terrier who was originally named Cookie of St. James and renamed by us to Hercules – got his spot in it.

I am looking forwards to finding a lot of lost family treasures.
